PT. Suarti The Indonesian Performing Arts

Because of deep concerns about the poor situation of women's rights and promotion of the female culture in Bali, Ibu Suarti in 1995 set up a foundation named Luh Luwih well known internationally so that Balinese women could freely express themselves and allow their creativity to come to fruition without compromising the traditional art forms that had always been in the hands of the dominating male culture. Ibu Suarti allowed women to participate in performances previously only done by men: in both gamelan and mask dances.

The experience gained through her association with the Luh Luwih Foundation.has placed Ibu Suarti and her company in the perfect situation to assist and play an active role in promoting  and guarding Indonesia's arts and culture in their area of performing arts throughout the world ensuring the standards of the international community are met. In addition to guaranteeing that the highest standards are adhered to, PT. Suarti provides ornaments and accessories that add further to the allure of the Indonesian Performing Arts on the world stage. This vision is a long term plan that can be incorporated into the present performing arts to nurture the creativity and sensitivity in each of its members
